My friend and neighbour Rosanna gave me this cabbage and grew it in her garden. I haven’t tasted a more delicious variety of cabbage, and that’s a fact. She also gave me a traditional local recipe for preparation of delicious side dish.
You will need:
- Beans (precooked or canned)
- Cabbage
- Hot pepper
- Garlic
- Olive oil
- White wine (optional)
Wash the cabbage, chop it, and place it in a pot. Add a splash of water and cover with a lid.
Simmer until the cabbage is tender.
In a skillet, heat olive oil, garlic, and hot pepper.
Add the cabbage and a bit of wine. Let the wine evaporate over high heat.
Now, add the beans and salt.
Mix well and simmer for 10-15 minutes until fully cooked.
If needed, add a bit of water.
