Fig and Dark Chocolate Cake without Mil

You will need:

  • 160g Whole Wheat Flour
  • 16g Baking Powder
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100g Brown Sugar
  • 50g Vegetable Oil
  • 110ml Almond Milk or any other type of milk
  • 4-5 Figs
  • 40g Chocolate Chips or, as I use, dark chocolate chunks
  • A Pinch of Salt

    Freeze the chocolate chips.

    Whisk the eggs with the sugar and salt using a fork or a whisk.

    Add the sifted flour and baking powder and mix well.

    Wash and slice the figs.

    Add the frozen chocolate chips into the batter.

    Transfer the batter to a square baking dish measuring 20×20 or 22×22 centimeters.

    Arrange the sliced figs on top.

    Bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit).
