My favorite apple pie

You will need:

  • 700g apples
  • Lemon
  • 80g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 200ml milk
  • 250g sugar
  • 300g flour
  • 16g baking powder
  • Almond nuts / brown sugar / powdered sugar for garnish
  1. To start, peel the apples and cut them into slices. Drizzle the apples with lemon juice and set aside.
  2. Whisk the egg yolks with sugar, and separately whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  3. To the egg yolks, add room temperature butter and milk while continuing to whisk.
  4. Then add sifted flour and baking powder to the batter of beaten egg yolks and mix well.
  5. You can continue to use an electric mixer. Now add the beaten egg whites and gently fold them into the batter using a silicone spatula.
  6. Prepare a baking dish and start layering the first layer of batter. Add the apples and then another layer of batter.
  7. Decorate the pie with the remaining apples.
  8. You can also sprinkle brown sugar and almond nuts on top.
  9. Bake the pie for 40-45 minutes at 180°C.
  10. Make sure to check the readiness of the pie before removing it from the oven.
  11. Allow the pie to cool and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
