You have already seen the recipe for my favorite apple pie on my Instagram, but now you can access this recipe in a more convenient format here on the website.
You will need:
- 700g apples
- Lemon
- 80g butter
- 3 eggs
- 200ml milk
- 250g sugar
- 300g flour
- 16g baking powder
- Almond nuts / brown sugar / powdered sugar for garnish
- To start, peel the apples and cut them into slices. Drizzle the apples with lemon juice and set aside.
- Whisk the egg yolks with sugar, and separately whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- To the egg yolks, add room temperature butter and milk while continuing to whisk.
- Then add sifted flour and baking powder to the batter of beaten egg yolks and mix well.
- You can continue to use an electric mixer. Now add the beaten egg whites and gently fold them into the batter using a silicone spatula.
- Prepare a baking dish and start layering the first layer of batter. Add the apples and then another layer of batter.
- Decorate the pie with the remaining apples.
- You can also sprinkle brown sugar and almond nuts on top.
- Bake the pie for 40-45 minutes at 180°C.
- Make sure to check the readiness of the pie before removing it from the oven.
- Allow the pie to cool and dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
