Experiment with VERZA Cabbage: Color and Flavor in One Dish!

I don’t know what I like more in this recipe? Its taste or the color of the cabbage?

I can watch it endlessly!

Its name is VERZA, and I wanted to buy it for a very long time. BUT in my family, apart from peppers, they don’t like cabbage either? Imagine that! But then I remembered my mom’s words ‘sometimes think about yourself!’ Although that phrase was related to a different topic?, but here I thought… why not?! Cabbage is also about me!?

I used the inner part for preparing chicken, which I sautéed and simmered with aromatic herbs, and cabbage in a pot.

As for the outer leaves, I kept them for making something exotic?

First, I dipped them in boiling water for a couple of minutes. Trimmed the tougher stem on each leaf.

I prepared the filling separately. Mashed boiled potatoes to a puree consistency. Sautéed onions and mushrooms separately. Mixed them with the puree, thyme, mint, lemon zest, and cheese. Wrapped the mixture in the leaves.

Then I simmered them in a pan for about 30 minutes, occasionally adding the water in which the cabbage was boiled.

Remaining filling ?- polpette!
