Ciambellone with figs

You will need:

  • 250g Flour
  • 120g Sugar
  • 3 Eggs
  • 125g Yogurt
  • 100g Vegetable Oil
  • 16g Baking Powder
  • 100g Fig Jam (or other jam)
  • Lemon Zest
  • A Pinch of Salt
  • 4-5 Figs
  • Nuts (optional)

    Beat the eggs, sugar, and salt.

    Then add yogurt, oil, jam, and mix gently.

    Now add the flour and baking powder and mix again until you have a smooth batter.

    Pour the batter into a 20cm baking pan.

    Arrange washed and sliced figs on the surface.

    Sprinkle with nuts.

    Bake for 45 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius.

    Check for doneness before removing from the oven.

    Let it cool and serve at the table.
