Chocolate Pear plum cake

You will need:

  • 3 Eggs
  • 130g Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa
  • 80ml Vegetable Oil
  • 300g Flour
  • 125g Plain Yogurt or Yogurt with Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Ripe Pears
  • 16g Baking Powder

To start, mix the eggs and sugar well. You can use a fork, but I used a whisk.

Add the yogurt and mix.

Then add the oil and cocoa. Mix again.

Next, add the flour and baking powder. Mix until you have a homogeneous mixture.

Then take a rectangular baking dish, about 27cm in size.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Peel and slice the pears. Pour the batter into the baking dish and top it with the pear slices.

Bake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Before removing the cake from the oven, check for doneness. In my case, it took a bit longer.

? If the cake has browned on top but hasn’t fully baked inside, cover it with foil and continue baking until it’s fully cooked (this applies to all baking, but don’t open the oven for the first 30 minutes).

? If your baked goods deflate quickly after coming out of the oven, let them cool for 5-10 minutes in a partially open and turned-off oven before removing.
