You will need:
For the batter:
- 3 apples
- Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 Lemon juice
For the dough:
- 200g High-quality flour
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 100g Milk
- Lemon zest
- 8g Baking powder
To begin with, peel and slice the apples into rings.
Sprinkle them with sugar, cinnamon, and drizzle with lemon juice.
Prepare the batter separately. Whisk together eggs, sugar, milk, and lemon zest using a fork.
Then add flour and baking powder, and mix until you have a homogeneous mixture.
Heat the oil to 170 degrees Celsius (338 degrees Fahrenheit).
Cover the apple slices with the batter and fry them in the oil until they turn golden brown on both sides.
Then place them on paper towels.
Sprinkle them with sugar and serve at the table.
I must admit, the batter may not completely cover the apples uniformly, so make sure that the apple is coated with batter before immersing it in the oil.
